Cheyenne-Arapaho, born 1954 in Wichita, Kansas. Lives on the Cheyenne and Arapaho Nation Reservation, Oklahoma. Studied at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas; the Royal College of Art, in London, England; and the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Painter and conceptual artist. Has exhibited widely in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Commissions include Building Minnesota for the Walker Arts Center, Minneapolis; Mission Gifts, for the San Josť Museum of Art, San Jose, California; and Day / Night, for Art in Public Places, Seattle Arts Commission, Seattle, Washington.
